California has more breweries than any other state in America, including some of the best breweries in the nation, so this event could be epic.
Organizers describe it as more than a big beer festival, but also one of those. The first-ever California Craft Beer Summit promises to provide a beer experience as much as it does a tasting opportunity. The California Craft Beer Association (CCBA), which is responsible for the event, says the Summit is “a first-of-its-kind event in the beer industry, unlike any other event anywhere in the county.”
A significant portion of California’s 500+ breweries will descend upon Sacramento on September 11 and 12 for the California Craft Beer Summit. Along with all the typical festival hoopla, the Summit offers educational opportunities, interactive displays, an industry jobs fair, and more. For example, start-up seminars for those thinking of opening a brewery.
According to the CCBA, “Craft beer enthusiasts will have the opportunity to taste the very best beer California has to offer.
Unusual and hard to find beer for those seeking the unusual… Not just tasting beer. It’s touching, smelling and feeling how beer is made… Workshops, seminars, demos and displays on all things craft beer.”
The CCBA says the event will be a ‘who’s who’ in the industry, bringing together well-known brewery owners, brewmasters and industry experts from every corner of the state all into one location. The list of California beer celebrities includes the likes of Ken Grossman of Sierra Nevada, David Walker of Firestone Walker, and Greg Koch of Stone Brewing.
