In January, the folks who organize Brew Five Three, Tacoma’s annual beer and music festival, announced that they were going virtual with a to-go, virtual festival. Well, that went so well that they’re doing it again this summer.
Tickets are now on sale for Brew Five Three To Go!. Here’s how it works. Order your beer (get your tickets) before July 29th and then pick up your “kit” on August 6th or 7th. On Saturday, August 7th join the Zoom session for a guided tasting experience led by an Advanced Cicerone. They’ll record the live session so you can watch it at your convenience.
There are four different kits available. Each is thoughtfully curated and features beers from breweries in and around Tacoma, as well as some from farther afield. One of the four kits is designed for those who are looking for a less beery experience, with a selection of ciders and seltzers. Each kit features a variety of different cans and bottles, a pint glass, and fun local swag.
This year Brew Five Three To Go! teamed up with Wet Coast Brewing of Gig Harbor to create a special beer for the event: Tacoma Arts Live Pale Ale. The brew crew from Wet Coast will also be part of the Zoom session.
