Woodinville, Washington’s Bosk Brew Works, announced it will close permanently next month. The official last day is June 1st. Cliff Hall, the owner, announced the decision in a letter to “loyal customers and Bosk family members, ” stating that it was not an easy decision.

Hall said, “Ten years ago, we started planning for what would become Bosk Breww Works. The idea originated years prior during multiple visits to Oktoberfest in Munich. Seven years ago, we opened the taproom and production brewery with big ideas and intentions: great beer, people and community. I am incredibly proud of the German-style lagers and pilsners we have produced and of the Gemutlichkeit atmosphere you all helped create around Bosk.”

“The post-COVID financial recovery was very difficult, but we persevered,” he continued. “I am so proud of our Bosk team through these adventures. Particularly Rachel, Head Brewer and proud member of the Pink Boots Society, who has continued to produce incredible recipes and beers batch over batch… I am also proud to have supported various community organizations with fundraising efforts over the years…”

“Angela and I have been looking at options for the future, and we decided it was time to turn the page and begin the next chapter. We accomplished the most important things we had intended with the brewery. Sure, I wish there were not so many speed bumps along the way. But we have lots of great memories of all the events and especially of you enjoying our beer.”

Hall says they are looking for a buyer “to keep our uniquely capable, large turn-key brewery intact.” You can read the letter in its entirety on Bosk’s Facebook page.
