Seattle’s Lucky Envelope Brewing announces a beer release event happening on Saturday, August 2nd at its brewery and taproom in Ballard. At the Beer & Sunshine event the brewery will release four beers, including the latest edition of the Brewers Reunion Tour. Also, the event marks the return of Lucky Envelope’s award-winning Karakuchi Japanese Lager. Lucky Envelope will offer all four beers on draft and in cans. Typical for this brewery, the four beers represent a breadth of styles and flavors.

Fancy Lads West Coast IPA
A collaboration with Josh Yoker (Sunriver Brewing)
(6.6% ABV) – Josh was our first brewer 10 years ago, and together we dove into the brewing world as wide-eyed Fancy Lads. These days, you’ll find him at Bend’s revered Sunriver Brewing or tinkering with tiny cars in the high desert. Named after the non-cult classic Cabin Boy, Fancy Lads is a crisp, dry West Coast IPA featuring experimental ADHA-1631 hops and a standout Strata lot from Roy Farms in Moxee, WA.

Prickly Passion Sour Ale
(5.7% ABV) – Our base kettle-sour brewed with prickly pear and passionfruit puree. Prickly pear brings a soft, melon-like sweetness and a fun magenta hue, while passionfruit layers in tartness and bright acidity. It’s juicy, refreshing, and ready for summer sipping.

Your Secret Krush Hazy Pale Ale
(5.5% ABV) – Your Secret Krush is a hazy pale ale brewed with Vic Secret and Krush hops to bring you notes of pineapple, mango skin, cedar and fresh apricot. A light, tropical, fruity beer worthy of being your summertime crush.

Karakuchi Japanese Lager
(5.0% ABV) – A refreshing Japanese Lager brewed with rice and corn to mirror beloved crisp “super dry” lagers common in Japan. The term Karakuchi is Japanese for “dry” and is commonly used to describe beers with this flavor profile.
