Seattle’s Lucky Envelope Brewing just announced the release of its final three beers of the year. To mark the end of 2020, and who doesn’t want to do that, the brewery introduces a range of beers: a pilsner, an IPA, and a barrel-aged imperial porter. Details in the release announcement below.
Final 2020 Lucky Envelope Beer Releases
Revel in the warmth of the indoors and enjoy the winter seasonal Buddha’s Hand Citron IPA or new, spicy Mexican Chocolate Whiskey Barrel Imperial Porter. Finally, toast to the New Year with a crisp Lotus Dry-Hopped Pilsner, a lager brewed with the same hop that was featured in the 2020 Chinese New Year Metal Rat IPA collaboration with Asheville, North Carolina’s Highland Brewing.
CURRENT SEASONAL BEER OFFERINGS
Beer: Lotus Dry-Hopped Pilsner (5.1% ABV)
Availability: Currently Available on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($14)
Description: Lager and hop lovers rejoice! Enjoy our traditional German-style Pilsner with a modern twist. This Pilsner is dry-hopped with Lotus and Citra hops for notes of orange, creamsicle, and tropical fruit.
Beer: Buddha’s Hand Citron IPA (6.6% ABV)
Availability: Currently Available on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($17)
Description: In season for a limited window in late fall, zest from this uniquely shaped fruit (pictured above) is brewed into this seasonal West Coast ENIAC IPA. Buddha’s Hand Citron is used widely in East Asian cuisine and as ornamental decoration in Chinese households during New Year celebrations. The fragrant, juiceless fruit imparts botanical notes and intense flavors reminiscent of fresh cut lemon and crushed lemon candies.
UPCOMING SEASONAL BEER OFFERINGS
Beer: Mexican Chocolate Whiskey Barrel Imperial Porter (12.5% ABV)
Availability: Available Friday, December 18th in single 16oz Cans ($12)
Description: Spice up your beer game with this barrel-aged chocolate bomb laced with three kinds of dried chili peppers, cinnamon, and vanilla. We dosed this decadent Imperial Porter with smoky Ancho chilis, New Mexico chilis, and intense Cayenne chilis to produce complex pepper flavors with tasting notes of cherries, dried plum, and roasty raisin cocoa. Warm cinnamon and sweet vanilla shine through, balancing the heat and complementing the caramel, oakiness imparted by the Copperworks Whiskey Hogsheads.
