This Saturday, November 23, Beer Church and the Washington Beer Blog host the 15th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl, a beer-fueled bowling party, fundraiser and food drive. All proceeds benefit West Seattle Food Bank. The event takes place at West Seattle Bowl (4505 39th Ave SW. map) from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and the public is welcome. Although the bowling is sold out, there are plenty of reasons for non-bowlers to swing by the bowling alley and participate.
Everyone is welcome to stop by West Seattle Bowl on Saturday night to drop off food donations, enjoy a beer, and participate in a raffle for great beer-themed prizes. Among the prizes, a Redhook snowboard, several gift baskets from local breweries, and gift certificates from local brewpubs and restaurants. Also, a Washington Beer Golden Ticket – a season pass good for two tickets to a year’s worth of Washington Beer Commission festivals. These are just some of the prizes Beer Church will be giving away in this year’s target raffle — a fun and effective raffle method that allows you to choose which items you are interested in winning.
At the event, West Seattle Bowl will serve all three versions of this year’s Beer Church Ale. Three breweries participated in the project this year, creating three unique beers that all showcase an uncommon, experimental hop. Proceeds from this year’s Beer Church Ale benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America Northwest Chapter. For more information about Beer Church Ale, see our previous post.
