An evening with Jeff Alworth, and beer, at Reuben’s Brews

Some of you know Jeff as the guy behind the Beervana blog. Some of you know him as the author of The Beer Bible and other books. Some of you don’t know who I’m talking about, but Jeff Alworth is probably one of the most knowledgable craft beer gurus in the world.

Next week, on Tuesday, May 31st, Jeff pays a visit to Reuben’s Brews and you are invited to join him for an evening of beer and insight. You’ll taste some great beers and you’ll learn something. This is a ticketed event taking place in the Barrel House at Reuben’s Brews. Learn more and get tickets here.

“The way people think about and brew beer tends to become an expression of local culture,” said the announcement from Reuben’s Brews. “The beer that emerges from these places bears strong resemblance across styles from that region, and has key features not found elsewhere.”

Join us at the Barrel House on Tuesday, May 31st from 7 – 9pm to explore a myriad of styles and understand the history of how certain beers developed when and where they did. Members of the brewing team at Reuben’s Brews will describe each beer and how the process we use compares and contrasts with that of the traditional style.”

“At this Sightglass Seminar with author Jeff Alworth, we’ll taste through five different beers that have origins from around the globe while learning about their historical precedents. The second edition of Jeff’s book The Beer Bible provides in-depth profiles of more than 100 beer styles (based on research spanning over 28,000 miles, 12 countries, and 100 breweries), the influences of geography and history, little-known lore and amusing anecdotes, beers to try, and much more. Tickets to this event are available with or without a signed copy of the book.”
