Airways Brewing celebrates its 8th anniversary this Saturday

Airways Brewing celebrates its 8th anniversary this Saturday, March 24 from 3pm til 9pm at the brewery and taproom in Kent. The event includes the release of Batch 707, the brewery’s 707th batch of beer. Coincidentally (or not), many experts consider the Boeing 707 the first modern first jet airliner. It was introduced in 1958 and helped revolutionize air travel. The beer is described as a Northeast IPA with lots of El Dorado hops that was conditioned on toasted coconut and vanilla bean. Saturday’s event also features live music from Planet Fly and DJ Wick. A Fire Inside (food truck) will serve up their delicious pies. More information in the announcement below.

“We’re eight and that’s reason to celebrate,” said Alex Dittmar, founder of Airways Brewing. “The past year has brought tremendous growth, along with new beers and more awards. We’re excited to share some new stuff, as well as classic favorites with our customers.”

Available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans and on draught, Batch Number 707 IPA is this year’s anniversary beer. The hazy, Northeast-style IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with loads of El Dorado hops, which give it a fruity, pineapple-juice like quality. Then, it was conditioned on toasted coconut and vanilla bean for added complexity. This beer is super-balanced and easy to drink at 6.5 percent ABV and 40 IBUs. And, the beer was the 707th batch brewed by the brewery; hence the name.

Also available in limited edition four-packs of 16-ounce cans just for the occasion is Airways Brewing’s award winning Jumbo Juice IPA. Featuring 6.5 percent ABV and 45 IBUs, this beer bursts with tropical flavors and aromas. Loads of uber-fruity hops provide powerful notes of pineapple, passion fruit and mango.

In addition to the exciting new releases, attendees of the brewery’s Eighth Anniversary Party can enjoy pints of Airways Brewing’s year-round offerings, including the brewery’s award winning Jumbo Juice™ IPA and Pre Flight Pilsner®. Wood fired pizza will be available from the food truck A Fire Inside. Attendees will receive free Airways Brewing keychains (while supplies last) and be entered to win prizes, while glassware, cans, and Airways apparel will be available for purchase.

  1. Congrats to Alex, Dione, Robby and the rest of the Airways Crew! We’ve been enjoying your beers for years. And if you haven’t been to their bistro location yet– they also have great food.

    Cheers guys,

    Morgan
