Watershed Pub Celebrates a Decade of Beer and Community

Watershed Pub and Kitchen will celebrate 10 years of great beer, great food, and community commitment this weekend in Seattle

It seems like only yesterday that Watershed Pub and Kitchen opened in Seattle. Alas, an entire decade has passed. This coming weekend (Friday, March 29th through Sunday, March 31st) Watershed celebrates this important anniversary with music, food and drink specials, and more. (pictured above: Watershed’s owners Kelsey Curran and Ben Curran, from social media.)

Ten years ago, things were very different in the neighborhood Watershed Pub and Kitchen calls home. Northgate was still a shopping mall. There was no Kraken Community Iceplex because there was no Seattle Kraken. Light rail had not yet reached the neighborhood; Link Light Rail’s Northgate station is now across the street from the Watershed. Over the past decade, the once-commercial neighborhood has become much more residential. People live there now. And where people live, people need a place to eat and drink.

The Watershed Pub and Kitchen is fiercely dedicated to local craft beer as the always-impressive rotating beer selection proves. Suffice it to say that theirs is not a distributor-driven tap list. Servers of great beer, makers of great food, champions of important causes. For instance, the owners are deeply involved with the Washington Brewshed Alliance, which works with Washington Wild to protect the watersheds and waterways that provide the great water needed to make great beer. There is a lot to love about the ‘shed.

For the anniversary, the Watershed collaborated with six of the area’s best breweries to create celebratory beers, which will be on tap all weekend. Here are some more details about the weekend-long celebration at Watershed Pub and Kitchen, harvested from social media:
