Black Raven – Alternate Dimensions Blueberry Lemon Sour

Today Black Raven Brewing introduces the latest installment in the Alternate Dimensions series of beers. With Alternate Dimensions, the intention is to let the brewers flex their creative muscles and hone in on some interesting, unexpected, and/or intense flavors. This time around, it’s a Blueberry Lemon Sour.

“You unlock this door with the key of imagination… Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of aroma, a dimension of mouthfeel, a dimension of taste. You’re moving into a land of both tartness and fruit. You’ve just crossed over into… The Alternate Dimension!”

“Crisp lemon on the nose and a lovely bright purple pectin haze thanks to nearly a thousand pounds of PNW blueberries! Violet Beauxregarde approved.”

Watts Brewing, Mirage Beer – Diadasia

Diadasia is described as a Kölsch-fermented IPA, a collaboration beer involving Watts Brewing and Mirage Beer.  It is now on tap at Watts Brewing’s taproom in Woodinville. “They [Mirage] brought some ingredients they were excited about–Golden Promise pale ale malt, and Elani hops–and we brought our Kölsch yeast.  The result is an extremely light take on the Kölsch IPA concept we’ve been tinkering with for a while now.”

“The Elani hops bring a delicate underripe stonefruit kind of character to pair with the white grape from the Kölsch yeast.  The collab is on tap at our taproom now, and will be available at Mirage, as well as several accounts that serve our beer. Come give it a try and let us know how it stacks up against the other IPAs we’re working on!”
