Black Raven Brewing releasing a new version of an old favorite
People like what they know. For instance, the longing for familiarity explains the enduring popularity of classic rock radio stations, which notoriously play the same 53 songs over and over again. There’s nothing wrong with that, but eventually even Sweet Home Alabama stops sounding so sweet and we long for something that is at least a little bit different.
In beer terms, this is like the push-n-pull that goes on between flagship beers and one-off experimental beers. Craft beer lovers would be lost if we didn’t have both. We need KZOK as well as KEXP.
Black Raven Brewing is about to release Tropical Trickster, a modified version of its beloved Trickster IPA — a springtime rendition of a familiar favorite. Think of it as a reggae version of Sweet Home Alabama. It’s like Hotel California with a different guitar solo.
Here is the release notice for Tropical Trickster, which hits the streets on Friday, March 26th.
Available in bottles, cans, and on draft this Friday, March 26th
Tropical Trickster is the springtime variation of our best-selling Trickster IPA. This beer is brewed with slightly less bitterness than normal and infused with pineapple and mango juices.
New for 2021, Tropical Trickster will be available in 16oz cans, 22oz bottles, and on draft. We’ll have it ready for you at the Redmond and Woodinville locations when we open at noon.
ABV: 6.9%
