Third New South Park Brewery Opens this Saturday

The third new brewery to open in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood this year flips on their open sign this Saturday at noon. This past Sunday, we and some fellow beer industry folks got a sneak peek of Tin Dog Brewing.

After a nearly one-year process of creating and building-out the brewery and tasting room, they are starting out with five beers on tap: White Dog IPA, Wit IPA (our favorite), Northwest Pale Ale, a Dubbel and a Saison (which we didn’t get to sample as it’s still in the fermenter). Tin Dog Brewing is a collaboration of husband and wife team Eric and Lisa Rough. (See our original story with their background here.)

The brewery is located near the entrance of the Cloverdale Business Park at 309 S Cloverdale St. #A2, Seattle. Map. Next door to the Break Time Deli & Cafe). Starting this Saturday, their regular hours will start as Wednesday through Sunday, 12 to 6 p.m., but they will adjust as needed based on demand.

Tin Dog joins two other South Park breweries that opened in the past year. Burdick Brewery and Lowercase Brewing happen to share a space in a new industrial building at 8103 8th Ave S. All three will soon be easier to reach this spring when the new South Park bridge reconnects the neighborhood to East Marginal Way at Boeing Field. But why wait? With three breweries within blocks of each other, it sounds like  a great excuse for a southend brewery tour.
