The Washington Brewers Guild officially welcomes Robyn Schumacher as its new Board President

Robyn Schumacher is one of the co-founders and co-owners of Stoup Brewing. For several years, Robyn served on the Washington Brewers Guild board of directors and now takes over the role of President, replacing Greg Brandt of Iron Goat Brewing, who served as President since 2020. (Pictured above: Robyn and myself enjoying beers at Marination Ma Kai, near Alki.)

Introducing the New President

In an announcement from the Washington Brewers Guild, Robyn said, “I am honored and proud to represent the Washington Beer community as President of the Washington Brewers Guild. As a member of the professional community for the last 13 years and a fangirl member of the beer community for many years before, this feels like the perfect place for me right now.”

“I love our beer community and am committed to do the best I can to help bring us together and face our changing landscape as a united front. My goal this year is to share a beer and conversation with as many members of our community as I can. I want to know what’s top of mind for our Guild membership and then work with the Board, Daniel and Shawna to protect our interests as best we can. My guiding mantra is, the world changes, but beer is eternal.”

About the Washington Brewers Guild

The mission of the Washington Brewers Guild is to support, unite, and protect Washington’s craft brewers through legislative advocacy, education, and community building among brewers. The Guild is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit trade association. One of its primary funding sources is the festivals and events it operates annually. Those events include the Winter Beer Fest, the Washington Brewers Festival, and the Washington Craft Beer Summit. The beer-loving public can feel good about attending those events, knowing they are helping foster a strong brewery community in Washington. To learn more, visit the Guild’s website.
