Parties at Breweries Near the Ballpark for Mariners Opening Day

Events at breweries for the Mariners Opening Day.

Looking for a place to get a beer before the Seattle Mariners home opener on Thursday, March 28th? We have some ideas for you. Although some special events are planned for opening day, these are always great places to grab a brew before a Mariners game and are within walking distance of T-Mobile Park.

Seapine Brewing – Located about one mile south of T-Mobile Park (a flat, 20-minute walk), for opening day Seapine Brewing will complement its selection of tasty beers with food from Outsider BBQ, serving food from 3:00 until 6:00. Seapine will serve beer before and beyond that. 2959 Utah Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134.

Fast Fashion Brewing – Just a couple blocks south of the ballpark, Fast Fashion Brewing is hosting an opening day party that includes the release of a special collaboration beer named Marine Layer, along with DJ’d music. Any true Mariners fan will understand the beer’s name and will know why the artwork features a can of corn. 1723 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134.

Ghostfish Brewing – No specific event planned that we know of, but it is always a great stop for gluten-free beer and gluten-free food. Probably, definitely the most highly decorated G-F brewery in the nation. Located very near Seapine Brewing, about a mile south of the ballpark. 2942 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134.

Hooverville Bar – Right next door to Fast Fashion Brewing. Wear your patience pants and enjoy the scene. It will be packed, there’s not a clearly marked “order here” location at either of the two bars, but the staff rocks and does a great job of keeping the beer flowing. 1721 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134.

Steelheads Alley, Hatback, The Boxyard – The former Pyramid Brewery is now a facility that involves three separate but very closely connected spaces. Steelheads Alley is the outpost for brewed-on-site beers from Metier Brewing. Hatback is an upscale sports bar, basically. The Boxyard is an event space open for special events, like Mariners Opening Day. Right across the street from the ballpark, all three will be very busy. 1201 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134.

Elysian Fields – A couple blocks north of the ballpark, once a brewpub but now just a bar, this is one of Elysian Brewing’s locations. If you’re craving Space Dust, have at it. 542 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104.

Flatstick Pub – Located about a half mile north of the ballpark, this beer hall focuses on locally brewed beer and miniature golf. You do not need a tee time, at least not if you’re only drinking beer. 240 2nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104.
