This Friday and Saturday, September 13th and 14th, it’s time for some beer-fueled, autumnal shenanigans in the Ballard Brewery District. The breweries of the Ballard Brewed Coalition will celebrate collectively and individually. Some breweries have announced plans. Four breweries will celebrate Oktoberfest while a fifth will host a Mid-Autumn Festival. Expect special beer releases, including traditional fest biers, and oompah music from The Oompah Machine, which will perform at three different breweries throughout the day on Saturday.
Here’s what is happening this weekend in Ballard.
Lucky Envelope Brewing, from social media: “Lucky Envelope Brewing welcomes you to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival at the Tasting Room on Friday, September 14th from noon-10pm. Toast with friends and family to the harvest moon holiday with beer releases, red envelope giveaways, and the traditional baked good, mooncakes. Special beer releases include the Taro Up My Heart lager which is a collaboration with U-District’s Ladd & Lass Brewing and a Mid-Autumn Hazy IPA infused with acai blueberry black tea.”
