Just received word of an event happening tonight at that The Sixgill in Fremont.

“Thursday, October 30, at 6:30 we’ll be tapping a Pale Ale from North Sound that was aged in a Big Gin Barrel from Captive Spirits – both the Captive and the North Sound folks will be joining us. They made the beer exclusively for us (although, we told Kurt he could pour some at the North Sound Tasting Room earlier this fall).”

“We’ll also tap some other beers from North Sound: Creepy Monkey (bourbon barrel imperial brown), Tangerine Wheat, Hopsolute IPA and a new Sour Puss – a Blonde Ale aged for 2 1/2 years in an oak barrel. There were 3 fruit additions to the barrel every 6 months or so- Strawberry, peaches, and tart cherries. Rosalar was the yeast strain used which has several different sour strains including some Lacto and Brett. ABV is about 6%.”
