New, upcoming, notable beers from Fremont Brewing. One drops today

Three important nuggets of beer release info from Fremont Brewing involving the brewery’s popular Head Full of Dynomite series, its rotating IPA series, and its lesser-known Brewers Reserve Series.

And Boom Goes the Dynomite

Today (Friday, April 16) at the Urban Beer Garden, Fremont Brewing introduces the latest addition to the Head Full of Dynomite series, which presents beer lovers with a new beer every six weeks. The brewery describes v.28 in the series of hazy IPAs as a combination of Mosaic and Lotus hops exploding in your mouth, unleashing flavors of citrus, guava, and papaya.

Meet Ollie IPA

Next week, Fremont Brewing introduces the latest beer in its rotating series of IPAs. Ollie IPA is described as an unfiltered IPA that pours a hazy pale golden color, with a sweet, slightly citrusy start that gives way to subtle bitterness before finishing with a pleasingly potent, citrus hop punch. Bright aromas of tropical guava, spicy pineapple, and tangy citrus dominate this highly drinkable beer that sits at 7% ABV and 70 IBUs.

“We put out a new rotating IPA three times per year, and for this release, we decided to name it Ollie after one of Fremont’s favorite furry, four-legged friends—who sadly passed away—and in honor of all the pets of Fremont. Ollie is missed but lives on in this beer that we now share with all of you,” said brewer and Fremont co-founder Matt Lincecum. “Crack open a can and raise a toast to Ollie and the pets that bring so much happiness to our lives.”

“Innovation and experimentation is the name of the game when it comes to our rotating IPA series, and to develop the recipe for Ollie IPA, we took cues from our extremely successful, ongoing Head Full of Dynomite series of hazy IPAs,” said director of brewing Matt Lincoln. “Ollie IPA has big hop flavor and is imminently crushable.”

Ollie IPA will be available from May-August on draft, in 6 packs and 12 packs of 12-ounce cans, and in 22-ounce bottles throughout our distribution footprint.

Brewer’s Reserve Series

These are out there right now. Well, not exactly “out there,” but available.

Many of you probably haven’t heard about this series yet. It wasn’t necessarily clandestine, but when Fremont introduced this program last year, they did so without fanfare. It was 2020, after all. You’ll need to visit the Urban Beer Garden to get in on this action.

Fremont Brewing quietly introduced the Brewer’s Reserve Series last year. The series offers beer lovers a chance to drink beers that are innovative and often experimental. Available in 4-packs of 16-oz cans, and on draft, exclusively at the Urban Beer Garden.
