Updated July 1st
Narrows Brewing announced today on Instagram that it is ready to open its new taproom in Tacoma’s Proctor district. We originally reported on this development in May.

Original post:
Narrows Brewing operates its brewery and taproom at the Narrows Marina in very South Tacoma. It’s a beautiful waterfront location but removed from the city’s core. The company recently announced that it will open a new taproom in the city’s heart at 2620 N Proctor Street. The coming soon sign is now above the door, and we await news of an opening date. The brewery says there will be no changes at the marina location. Business at the brewery and taproom will continue as normal.

The Proctor, as locals call it, is one of Tacoma’s historic, lively, and incredibly cool neighborhoods. The Proctor is more than a neighborhood; it’s a business district, home to several small businesses. The new Narrows Brewing taproom is right around the corner from Peaks and Pints, another beloved Tacoma beer institution, and right across the street from the historic Blue Mouse Theatre

On social media, Narrows Brewing explained that the new taproom will welcome adults 21-plus only. No pets and no kids. It will not have a kitchen, just beer, cider, and wine. Narrows Brewing will fashion the beers and ciders itself. There will be 12 beers on tap, four ciders on tap, and a broad selection of wines.

Lauren Rush, co-owner of Narrows Brewing, told Sip Magazine, “We’re thrilled to bring our vision to Proctor and create a space that feels familiar yet new. This taproom is about building on what we’ve started—great beer, good company, and a place that fits right into the neighborhood.”
