Machine House Brewery and Partners Present March Mildness

A banner for Machine House Brewery's March Mildness event.

The name is Mild: Dark Mild.

The old adage says that March comes in like a lion. Around here, it comes in differently, at least as far as beer is concerned. Each year Seattle’s Machine House Brewery presents March Mildness, a celebration of English-style dark mild ale. The brewery partners with local pubs and bars to create an opportunity for folks to enjoy a lovely mild ale and earn a discount on Machine House gear.

Visit Machine House Brewing’s taproom or one of the participating locations during March to enjoy a Machine House Dark Mild and get your punchcard stamped. One stamp per pint. The more stamps you get, the more you benefit. Also, each location will have a tally board to track its mildness. The location that serves the most Machine House Dark Mild will get to brew a beer with the brewery in the coming months.

Get all the details below, as posted on social media, including the list of participating locations (more may be added).

March Mildness is our annual month-long celebration of Dark Mild. Join us all month enjoying many Milds, as always lovingly poured through our beer engines from cask-conditioned firkins.

Dark Mild is a special beer for us, and one of the three beers we have been serving since we first opened. A low alcohol, refreshing ale that is dark in colour and full of wonderful roasty malt flavours, Dark Mild exemplifies what we are about and what we love about fresh cask ale.

To celebrate, we have punch cards that you can pick up at Machine House or any participating location. Get a punch for every Mild you buy, and get discounts on our brand new 2024 March Mildness beanies! (coming very soon)

Each participating location will also have their own wall chart to track their Mildness. The winner will brew a collab beer with Machine House. And this year we know it will be a bit more competitive with notorious Mildness GOAT @slowboattavern out of the running!
