Two upcoming events introduce Larrabee Lager to Seattle and Tacoma.
Bellingham’s newest brewery, Larrabee Lager Company, recently announced that it penned a deal with Orcas Distributing, which distributes beer across Western Washington to markets up and down the I-5 corridor. Previously, the brewery was self-distributing its beer in limited quantities but not making it much farther south than downtown Seattle.
“A few weeks ago we took a huge step in ensuring our beer reaches more of our fans and supporters in Seattle and beyond by partnering with Orcas Distributing,” Larrabee Lager Company said on social media. “Get ready, Washington, you’re about to see a lot more of us!”
We introduced Larrabee Lager back when it first opened in 2023. The company will introduce itself to local beer fans at two upcoming parties. On Tuesday, February 11th, join the brewery at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle. On Wednesday, February 12th, you’ll find Larrabee Lager at Peaks and Pints in Tacoma.
“Both parties will feature 5 or 6 of our beers on tap and you can meet our co-owner and head brewer Sam and pick his brain about all things lagers and Mariners baseball.” the announcement said. Larrabee Lager Company opened in the summer of 2023, thanks to the hard work and imagination of Sam and Kate Milne.

The brewery and taproom are located north of downtown Bellingham, near Bellis Fair Mall. As the name suggests, the brewery focuses on lager-style beers. As the awards suggest, they do it well. In the 2024 Washington Beer Awards, Larrabee Lager earned three medals: a gold medal for its Light German-Style Lager, a silver medal for its German-Style Wheat Beer, and a bronze for its Kellerbier/Zwickelbier. On the strength of that performance, it also earned honors as the Small Brewery of the Year.
