The first-ever Lager Junction kicks off on Wednesday, August 14th, and runs through the 24th. For the duration, The Beer Junction in West Seattle will feature a selection of lagers from some of the region’s best-loved breweries. You can view the current taplist here.

“Tonight kicks off Lager Junction, our first annual lager fest,” said today’s announcement from The Beer Junction. “We’ve got tons of delicious beers on tap in a wide variety of styles from some of your favorite breweries!”

“We are also releasing our new collaboration with Mirage and Tahoma Fuji Sake: Out To Dry, a Koji Rice Lager. We’ve got it on draft and in cans so have a pint and stock your fridge for the end of the summer.’

“Michael from Mirage and Andy from Tahoma Fuji got together with us and talked through how to incorporate Andy’s Koji Rice, (the inoculated rice that is used to kickstart the sake production process,) and on the brew day we added a bunch of it to the mash along with a ton of rice.”

“The result is this fantastic new beer: a deeply interesting but still crisp and refreshing take on the style that has stormed through the whole industry this year. This beer brings floral, almost botanical notes riding on the clean German malt and rice. It clocks in at 4.5% and is an absolute crusher.”
