A Scavenger Hunt Through Bellingham, with Beer

These days, experts say breweries should “create occasions” to attract and excite people. Perhaps organizing an Easter Keg Hunt is an example of what those experts mean. Or maybe it just sounded like a lot of fun. Kulshan Brewing’s Easter Keg Hunt is part of the larger Bellingham Beer Week celebration, which serves as an occasion to create occasions.

Bellingham’s Kulshan Brewing presents its Easter Keg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th, from 2:00 until 5:00. The event starts at the Sunnyland taproom. It’s a sort of scavenger hunt. The first clue drops at 2:00. Teams then begin the hunt for the next clue, continuing from clue to clue on what the brewery calls a “bikeable and driveable” route. Along the way, shenanigans. The first team to find the hidden Easter Keg wins a $200 Kulshan gift card.

Presumably, one of the teams will find the keg by 5:00, when the taproom party hits peak velocity, with live music, the awards presentation, and celebratory beers until 7:00. Pre-registration is now open. Teams of up to four individuals can participate. Just provide your team captain’s information here. Consider dressing up in your Sunday best, your Sunday worst, a beflowered Easter bonnet, a bunny costume, or other festive garb. Not required, but WTF? It’s an Easter Keg Hunt!
