In April of 2023, we shared the news that Georgetown’s Jellyfish Brewing planned to open a second location in Seattle. The plan was to bring a taproom, with food, to the Greenlake neighborhood. It seemed like a turnkey opportunity. After all, the previous tenant was a restaurant and bar. The keys were yanked out of the ignition when the city determined that the previous business was never properly permitted. So, Jellyfish Brewing had to start that long and arduous task from scratch. As of September 10th, 2024, Jellyfish Brewing’s Taproom and Kitchen is open.

Jellyfish Brewing is happy to announce that the new Jellyfish Taproom & Kitchen is now open at 6808 E Green Lake Way N, Seattle, WA 98115. Open daily at 11:00 A.M. Kid and service animals are welcome.

“We dipped our toes in the water last weekend, and the lake temperature was perfect,” said Suzie Cruz of Jellyfish Brewing. “It has always been our intention to bundle up our Georgetown vibes and introduce them, along with our award-winning beer and bottomless good cheer, to an expanding audience in North Seattle. And we couldn’t have found a better home to achieve our goal. Hello Green Lake!”

The Taproom and Kitchen at Green Lake offers 15 taps pouring Jellyfish Brewing’s beers, crafted just 10 miles away at the brewery in Georgetown by head brewer Justin Rizza. In addition to the beer, the Green Lake location will offer its self-crafted hard seltzer, locally sourced hard ciders and wines, as well as locally crafted distilled spirits. Along with all that, plenty of non-alcoholic options. The kitchen is described as charcuterie-centric, offering menu items incorporating cured meats, cheeses, pickles, olives, and rustic bread. Also, some of the comforts you’d expect at a brewery, like house-formed pretzels with beer cheese, a house-smoked sausage flight, and what Jellyfish dubs its “smack burger.”
