A lot of folks around Seattle were sad that the annual Belgian Fest didn’t happen this year. Well, at this point, we aren’t even sure if that particular beer festival will ever happen again. But that isn’t stopping some of the breweries in Ballard from organizing their own Belgian-inspired beer event.
The Ballard Brewed Coalition invites you to visit six of the neighborhood’s breweries on Saturday, February 11th to hop from one tap room to the next and sample some Belgian-inspired beers. The breweries involved are Bickerson Brewhouse, Fair Isle Brewing, Urban Family Brewing, Stoup Brewing, Obec Brewing, and Reuben’s Brews.
The announcement on social media said, “We were as sad as you to learn that Belgian Fest is on hiatus this year, but not to worry – we’re diving into our cellars to celebrate our beloved Belgian beers in our taprooms!”
“On Saturday February 11, come in and taste the Belgian styles we have on tap – and yes, of course, there will be some limited-release barrel-aged Belgians for the occasion. Some Ballard brewers will have collab Belgians made with other breweries, others will have bottles and cans of Belgians that aren’t on tap available for bottle/can pours – to offer you as many Belgian options as possible without actually being at the festival!”
“It’s like a progressive Belgian Fest with more walking, but plenty of great beers to try as you make your way through the neighborhood!”
