Mead Fest 2025 is a first-ever event in Centralia, Washington, on Saturday, September 20th. In addition to a festival, it’s a competition and you are invited to submit your own mead (limited spots, sign up now). Sixteen producers will offer up their best mead for evaluation by certified judges. The crowd will also name a people’s choice winner. The event, at The Juice Box Public House, is produced by Good Buzz Brewing and benefits Veteran’s Journey Forward.
- Mead Fest guests will get up to 16 samples (2-oz.).
- Axe-Throwing, for those who choose.

“The people in attendance will be given four 2-oz. samples each hour over the course of 4 hours,” say the event organizers. “Then they will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite mead. This vote will decide the People’s Choice winner.”
They will announce the winner towards the end of the event. The winners will receive a drinking horn as a trophy. They’ll also have an opportunity to craft a commercial batch of their recipe, working with Forrest Chesvick at Good Buzz Brewing Co..
