Portland-based Hopworks Brewery just announced that it will close its pub in Vancouver, Washington. The last day of operation is Saturday, August 9th. The closure does not impact the company’s two other locations in Portland. (Image above from Facebook.) The company says a new tenant already has plans to move into the space, but provided no details.

“We’re deeply thankful for the past 9 years in Vancouver, sharing beers and building connections with this amazing community who has shown us so much support,” said the announcement.

Hopworks Brewery says that it did not reach this decision lightly, calling it a strategic move that allows it to focus on its growing wholesale business, its SE Powell Boulevard brewpub, and its ongoing commitment to sustainability and community.

Through these final days, patrons at the Vancouver taproom will enjoy happy hour drink pricing, food specials, and more. “Come raise a pint, share your favorite memories, and say farewell to the incredible team behind your friendly neighborhood pub. Let’s send it off in style!”

“We’re deeply grateful to our team members and the many guests who helped make our Washington outpost a true neighborhood gathering place. Vancouver has been a meaningful chapter in our story, and we look forward to welcoming our Vancouver community across the river at our Powell Boulevard brewpub. Our former space will soon be home to a fantastic new tenant, so stay tuned for their announcement.”

The Hopworks Brewery mothership location is at 2944 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97202. There is also a Hopworks taproom at the PDX airport.
