The Symbiotic Relationship Between Tasting Room & Food Truck

Food trucks and brewery tasting rooms enjoy a synergistic relationship: they work together to satisfy both thirst and hunger. The taproom does not want to bother with a kitchen, but does want people to eat, while the food truck simply seeks to park where hungry people congregate.

The Woods Tasting Room in Seattle’s SoDo district recognizes and embraces this symbiosis. The home of Two Beers Brewing and Seattle Cider Company hosts food trucks each Friday and Saturday, now through the end of September. All summer long, some of Seattle’s most-loved food trucks provide tasty sustenance to the taproom’s thirsty patrons.

Below we share this summer’s food truck schedule at The Woods Tasting Room (or see the schedule here). To sweeten the deal, if you buy food from the truck, The Woods offers a buck off a pint. Food Truck hours: Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 and Saturday 2:30 – 7:30.

Plus, with cider now on tap and plenty of packaged product to go, The Woods is becoming the perfect weekend getaway.”

  1. Triplehorn in Woodinville, has been hosting food trucks every Thursday through Saturday. Like beer, they rotate; Taco Gol, Chewaya BBQ, Ultimate Melt, Gobble, Meat on a Mission, Dogfather, Wood Fire Pizza… the list is long, but the beer is cold!

  2. Add Hilliard’s and Spinnaker Bay to your food-truck-hosting brewery taps as well. Sure loved me some food trucks at this year’s Washington Brewers Fest!

  3. We have food trucks every day at Perry Street Brewing in Spokane and we love them! Our customers get the benefit of a fun, rotating menu and we get to focus on brewing fresh, tasty beer day in and day out. It’s a win win!

  4. I wish the few breweries here in Tacoma would allow this instead of “their” choice of food being served (sigh).
