When Foggy Noggin Brewing opened 12 years ago in a residential location between Woodinville and Bothell, it was something of an anomaly. Back then, for a local magazine, I wrote the line, “Foggy Noggin is proof that if you buy a man a beer he’ll drink for 20 minutes, but if you buy him a homebrew kit he’ll build a brewery in the back yard and turn the garage into a tasting room.” Something like that, anyway.
So here we are more than a decade later and Foggy Noggin is not Washington’s only residential brewery, but it remains the original. This weekend the brewery releases its annual anniversary beer and also invites you out to the family homestead to enjoy it. 2022 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) 6.8% ABV – 55 IBU.
Each year for our Anniversary, we brew this classic English Old Ale, which is traditionally brewed for special occasions. Rich British malts are well complemented with the earthy hop tones from the UK Goldings hops. Perfect to drink now, or an excellent ale to cellar for a few years to pick up some wonderful aging characteristics.

Pints of 2022 are $8 and also available in 22 ounce bottles ($11/each) or growler fills $22/each. Older vintage years bottles are available for purchase, inquire for pricing. Pick up several bottles or a case to age.

Friday – March 18th (6pm – 7:30pm)– Foggy Noggin Anniversary Ale Vertical Tasting Event. March 18th (6-7:30pm). This is the event you just can’t miss. Tasting many years of our Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale). Only room for 20 people (21+ only) – and $80/person. Each attendee gets a bottle of 2022 Anniversary Ale and advance purchase of bottles, before our official release. You must register and pay in advance on-line.

Saturday – March 16th (12-5pm) – Join us as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary this weekend. We release our 2021 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) 6.8% ABV – 55 IBU on tap and limited 22 ounce bottles ($11/bottle). We will have some vintage years of Anniversary Ale on tap, until the kegs are blown. Vintage years of our Anniversary Ale are available for purchase in 22-ounce bottles.
