Figurehead Brewing celebrates Saturday, April 19th, at its Stone Way location in Seattle.
Figurehead Brewing Company opened its taproom on Stone Way about a year ago. The brewery, founded in 2016, operates a brewery and taproom in the nearby Magnolia neighborhood, but in 2024, it opened an outpost a couple miles away in Fremont. Figurehead Stone Way celebrates its first anniversary on April 19th with an all-day, family-friendly party. In addition to releasing the anniversary beer for the grownups, they’ll offer free root beer floats for kids, door prizes, live music, and lots of amazing ramen.
“We’re super grateful to everyone in the neighborhood who have welcomed us with open arms,” says Figurehead Brewing’s founder, Bob Monroe. “It has been great to get to know a new neighborhood and start to build a new group of regulars.”
In addition to beer, the Stone Way location offers cider, wine, kombucha, sake, tea, cold-brew coffee, and more. You can also get sandwiches and food from the kitchen operated by Midnite Ramen. There is indoor seating and an interior courtyard, and it’s kid-friendly. Sorry, no dogs are allowed.
Anniversary Beer: Figurehead brewed an anniversary beer in collaboration with Spinnaker Chocolate, which will open next door very soon, and Caffe Appassionato (Figurehead’s neighbor in Magnolia). The white stout is a pale beer with flavors similar to a stout, featuring cacao nibs from Spinnaker and coffee from Appassionato.

The brewery says that on April 11th, it will introduce an additional ramen concept. Elmer Komagata, founder of Midnite Ramen, will launch a separate brand, Nanking Ramen, which will focus on shio (salt-based) ramen. Elmer’s recipe is inspired by the first documented ramen in Japan, which dates back to 1884. With the addition of Nanking Ramen, Stone Way will further expand the ramen yatai (Japanese ramen street carts) feel and have noodles available at all times. There are plans to extend hours on Fridays and Saturdays to give customers their late-night ramen and beer fixes.
