Marianne is a longtime employee at Beer Star in White Center, Washington. Her face is familiar to anyone who frequents the place. Marianne is battling brain cancer. Her friends at Beer Star, and her many friends across the beer industry, have put together a fundraiser to help her through this incredibly difficult time. Friday, July 28th from 5:00 – 8:00 at Beer Star in White Center.
Everyone is invited to come join the fun, have a couple beers, and support the effort. The major fundraising component is an auction. We have it on good authority that some very cool stuff will be up for grabs. More than 60 breweries, concert venues, restaurants, and other businesses have donated items for the auction. WHY: Let’s raise some money and show support for our own, Marianne, who is battling brain cancer and related health issues which require her to step down from her long-standing role at Beer Star.
INFO: Over 60 AWESOME BREWERIES, CONCERT VENUES, RESTAURANTS + MORE, have donated brewery tours, experiences (hint: Bumbershoot), RARE BEER, cool swag, gift certificates, and SO MUCH MORE! The auction begins promptly at 5pm, ending at 8pm sharp. This hybrid auction will be hosted in person by Sarah from Fort George Brewing at Beer Star in White Center.
As we honor and support our manager/beer buyer as she heads into the next stage in life and retirement, Marianne will also be at Beer Star for the fundraiser to hang tough with y’all! Come say hi!!
