Elliott Bay Brewing invites you to help it celebrate the much-deserved retirement of its longtime brewing maestro, Doug Hindman. The brewery is hosting a retirement party on Thursday, October 30th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 at its brewery and pub in Burien. Industry folks and all friends of the brewery are welcome to attend.
Doug has worked as the Brewery Operations Manager since 1997. He’s been a key member of the Elliott Bay Brewing team since the beginning and has helped usher it through many changes and a couple of major expansions. “He has been instrumental in developing and maintaining our brewery operations, systems management, and implementation of our organic program,” said the announcement. “We wouldn’t be the same without his hard work and dedication.”
Along with his duties at Elliott Bay Brewing, Doug served the greater brewing community in leadership and volunteer roles at the Washington Brewers Guild, the Washington Beer Commission, and the Master Brewers Association.
Elliott Bay Brewing created a digital retirement card for Doug. Friends and colleagues are welcome to post greetings and convey their best wishes. You can even attach memorable photos, create a short video, and/or upload a voice message to help the old boy remember the occasion! Here’s the link.
