This is not a sports blog. Nor is it a football blog. Still, the excitement around Seattle for the 2013 NFL season is palpable and I feel it my duty to share information that has to do with Seahawks football as it relates to beer.

Mike Brown has a voice you may recognize from the years he’s spent doing sports updates on KIRO radio. He has also hosted live chats during Seahawks games for 710 ESPN Seattle. Mike is a great guy, but this isn’t about him: it’s about the events he’ll be hosting this season.  Each Monday night this season, Cinebarre movie theater in Mountlake Terrace is showing Monday Night Football in their biggest theater.  For the uninitiated, Cinnebarre is a movie theater, restaurant and bar. Eat and drink while you watch a movie or, in this case, Monday Night Football. Yes, it is a very big screen. But the biggest draw at these Monday night events is that a Seahawk player will be in attendance each week.

So far, the player schedule looks like this:

Monday, September 9th, All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman
Monday, September 16th, wide receiver Doug Baldwin.
Monday, September 23rd, defensive end Red Bryant.
Monday, September 30th, defensive tackle  Brandon Mebane.
