Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen is releasing a Mexican-style lager, brewed with malted barley from the Skagit Valley. The maltsters at Skagit Valley Malting Company created a specially malted batch of its popular Alba barley for Chuckanut Mexican-Style Lager, giving it a lighter color and body, along with the lower ABV you would expect in a Mexican-style lager.
Chuckanut Mexican Style Lager was created for Tom Douglas Restaurants, which plans to server the beer at two of its restaurants: Brave Horse Tavern and Cantina Leña.
Chuckanut and TDR will host a kickoff dinner at Brave Horse Tavern on Wednesday, February 17th. Details below. The chefs from Brave Horse Tavern and Cantina Leña are collaborating to put together an amazing Mexican-themed dinner to pair with a lineup of Chuckanut beers. Later this month, the beer will also be available at Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen in Bellingham.
