On Saturday, May 31st, Lucky Envelope Brewing releases three beers at its brewery and taproom in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. As is typical for Lucky Envelope, the beers span styles and offer a little something for everyone: a dark lager, a sour, and a hazy IPA. The beer releases include the first installment in Lucky Envelope Brewing’s Brewers Reunion Tour, which will see the brewery collaborate with old friends. More details are available on the event page: Beer Release Day, Saturday, May 31st.
Black Heart Dark Lager
A collaboration with Kyle Jungck
(5.2% ABV) – Created by Kyle Jungck (now at Georgetown Brewing), Black Heart is the broodier, malter-ego of our bright and crisp Barley Rae Jepsen collaboration. Fermented low and slow, this smooth dark lager cuts through the cracks of the concrete with toasty dark bread richness and hints of fresh-ground coffee and cocoa powder. Available on draft and in cans.
Watermelon Splash Tea Sour
(5.6% ABV) – Real Watermelon puree and Marketspice’s Watermelon Splash Herbal Tea infused into our house golden kettle sour base. Just in time for summer, this sour is refreshing, light, and lined with a touch of sweetness like the perfect bite of watermelon. The tea contains green rooibos tea, watermelon, apple pieces, strawberry pieces, and hibiscus. Available on draft and in cans.
Fish are Friends Hazy IPA
(6.5% ABV) – Anchovy? Yes, Anchovy – the controversially named hop from Segal Ranch’s R&D program, celebrated for its watermelon candy character. When shoaled with Mosaic and Simcoe, Anchovy creates a vibrant fruit salad of red berries and tropical flavors. Sorry, Nemo – fish are friends AND food. Available on draft and in cans.
