Sometimes you must stand up for what you believe to be right. It is not always easy, or without consequence, so it helps if other like-minded folks stand up with you. More than a dozen breweries in and around Bellingham, Washington will unite at Otherlands Beer for a Party of Choice on Monday, June 24th. It’s one event and two beers designed to support a person’s right to reproductive healthcare.
“Monday, 6/24, from 5:00-9:00 PM, we will be opening up for a very special night of beer service, fundraising, and community support,” said Otherlands Brewing on social media. “In recognition of the second ‘anniversary’ of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, more than a dozen Whatcom County breweries have come together to produce Beer Of Choice, crafting two unique beers to support reproductive healthcare.”
“During the Party of Choice, we’ll be serving exclusively the two collaboration beers, an American Pilsner and a classic Gose, with 100 percent of the beer sales donated to The Brigid Alliance, a non-profit that helps people access abortion care by covering travel, food, lodging and child care expenses and other logistical support.”
The party will also feature a small selection of snacks (frites, pretzels, etc.). Also, live music from local musician David Campbell. Here is the list of breweries involved in the Party of Choice and the Beer of Choice program:
