Every year Bellingham celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day with a parade through the streets of downtown, this year on Saturday, March 11th. The parade route ends at Boundary Bay Brewery, where a big party commences. To commemorate the occasion, each year the brewery releases its Irish-Style Red Ale. This year’s batch of the beer was release last week.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Boundary Bay’s Irish-Style Red Ale brewed in honor of Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Bellingham, Wash. – February 8, 2017 – Boundary Bay Brewery released its Irish-Style Red seasonal on February 1. Every year it’s brewed to celebrate the spirit of the Bellingham Community and the Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
With a deep-red hue, the Irish-Style Red Ale is smooth, lighter-bodied ale with medium-to-low hop bitterness and a toffee-like roasted, dry, yet malty, clean finish.
“The true beauty of the Irish Red is the beautiful red color and the easy drinkability,” Head Brewer Steve Ellison says. “You don’t need to wait until St. Patrick’s Day to start enjoying the Irish Red.”
While you can start enjoying the Irish-Style Red Ale now, it’s also a very good complement to St. Patrick’s Day. The Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 11 is the perfect day to enjoy a couple pints, especially since the parade ends at Boundary Bay!
The Irish-Style Red Ale isn’t the only beer brewed at Boundary Bay inspired by Ireland. The smooth and creamy Dry Irish Stout, brewed year-round, is a perfect craft beer for celebrating the upcoming holiday.
