Some beer festivals are more about the beer and less about the festival; some are more about the festival and less about the beer. The best beer fests, the ones that remain popular, balance the beer and the festival. For instance, the annual Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival is a music and beer fest held each year on the waterfront in Des Moines, Washington.
Once again, the festival’s organizers have brought together some great musical acts to fill the day. Along with that, some great local breweries will serve up a selection of their tasty beers (and ciders) for your enjoyment. We share the brewery and band lineups below. It all happens at Des Moines Beach Park, near the Des Moines Marina. Get more info and tickets here.
Street parking is available nearby and it’s a pretty easy, short walk down to the beach, but there’s also a shuttle bus if you don’t want to hoof it. See the map below.
