Two new beers left the nest at Black Raven Brewing this week. They are both IPAs. One is a bi-coastal collaboration, created with Strangebird Brewery of Rochester, New York. The other is a surfing-inspired tropical bomb. Details below from the brewery.

Blackbird IPA — The SR-71 “Blackbird” is quite simply perfect. The plane’s design represents a time in America when aesthetics and function were equally important. With a wingspan of 55.6’ and 107.4’ in overall length the mighty beast could make it from LA to DC in approximately one hour holding only passengers. If that’s not cool, then nothing is.

What better namesake for this bicoastal collaboration? Blackbird is a hazy IPA brewed with Nugget, El Dorado, Estate Comet, and Strata hops. Big stone fruit aromas with a soft yet crisp mouthfeel and a mild hop bite. 4pk | 16oz CANS & Draft

Tiki IPA — Based on two of our favorite things. IPA & Traditional Tiki Drinks. Inspiring the feelings of a tropical vacation. brewed with Zappa & Meridian Hops. Prepare for a tropical experience that would make the man himself Mr. Donn Beach blush! This IPA is bursting with passionfruit, guava, and pineapple aroma. Surfs up. 4pk | 16oz CANS & Draft.
