Today, Lumber House Brewery of Black Diamond, WA, announced it will close effective May 25, 2025. The company has operated a brewpub for eleven years, serving the local community in an uncommonly underserved part of King County. Lumber House Brewery is located in a commercial space along Highway 169 just north of downtown Black Diamond.
The nearest breweries are 10 miles away from Lumber House Brewery. It’s always sad when a brewery closes, particularly when it is the only brewery around. It leaves a hole in the community. As outlined below, the brewery invites everyone to join them for the final days. Lumber House Brewery is located at 30741 3rd Ave #183, Black Diamond, WA 98010.
“It is with great sadness and gratitude that Lumber House Brewery must announce the closure of our Brew Pub,” said an email from the brewery. “For the past eleven years, it has been our ultimate pleasure to serve you, our community, as valued friends and customers. Many of you have become like family to us, which made this decision all the harder.”

“We tried everything we could to change daily operations so that we could continue to offer our craft brews,” said the announcement. “However, due to ongoing financial challenges posed by the pandemic, increasing inflation and the changing landscape of the brewery and restaurant industries, we believe it is the most responsible course of action.”
Here is the schedule for the final days at Lumber House Brewery
On May 25th from 1:00 – 7:00 pm, Lumber House Brewery will host a big blowout final celebration. One to remember.
On May 31st, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Lumber House Brewery will hold a private Garage Sale for our Founders and Mug Club Members only. Beer, furniture, and other brewery items will be available for purchase.

On June 7th from 12:00 -4:00 pm, Lumber House Brewery will hold another Garage Sale open to the Public for the final opportunity to purchase a piece of our history. So be sure to save these last call dates.
