Beveridge Place Pub invites you to celebrate a big anniversary this Thurs.

It’s a big ‘un! Not just the birthday, but the bottle too. Amazing beers lined up for the big party.

This Thursday, October 19th, Beveridge Place Pub celebrates its 20th anniversary. Along with a lot of other beer, they’ll pour a commemorative toast from a 9-litre bottle of Piraat Belgian Ale. That’s a big bottle. Along with that, a whole bunch of very special beers from near and far (see below).

“Ahhh, what a long, strange trip it’s been – and continues to be!” said the Bev on social media. “We’ll be celebrating our 20th Anniversary a very special way – with BEER! Join us Thursday evening when we tap some amazing beers from around the world and down the street… The festivities will continue all weekend long with rare beers tapped each day!”

Twenty years ago, ownership of the Full Moon Saloon on California Avenue in West Seattle changed hands. The long-established dive bar (just being honest) was about to undergo a transformation at the hands of new owners who possessed a more inspired vision of what a tavern should be.

Slowly at first, so as not to upset the day-drinkin’ regulars, taps were changed over to better beers. More taps were added. Eventually, the name was changed to Beveridge Place Pub, which is a nod to the cross street: it sits at the intersection of Califonia Avenue and Beveridge Place. Soon, “The Bev” was recognized as one of the best beer bars in the city. It remains that today.

Fast forward a few years and Beveridge Place Pub had outgrown its home and moved across the street into a free-standing, much larger building. That’s the location we all know and love today, still at the corner of California and Beveridge. “Lookin’ California but feelin’ West Seattle,” as the locals like to say.

Of course, they’ll have some “normal” beers on tap for you less-adventurous types, but here are just a few of the gems that Gary and his crew at the Beveridge Place Pub have lined up for the anniversary soiree:
