In 2017, brothers Tim and Todd Masbruch, opened Bent Bine Brew Co. in Belfair, Washington. The brewery/taproom is located along Highway 3, about 20 minutes southwest of Bremerton. The brewery serves as a community hub, regularly hosting live music and other events. And of course, as Bent Bine likes to say, “It’s all about the beer.”
Recently, Bent Bine Brew Co. announced it is seeking new ownership. “The Taproom is currently closed,” said a recent post on Bent Bine Brew’s social media. “We still have kegs for sale and will be distributing them while they last so hit me up if you want some.”
“I have scheduled some meetings with persons that are interested in buying the brewery and taproom and I’ll keep you guys posted,” continued the post. “The prior plans fell through unfortunately so here we are again. Love and thanks to all of you for your support, it’s meant a lot to all of us here at Bent Bine. Say some prayers and keep your fingers crossed that we find suitable successors.”
Every community like Belfair should have, and can support, a brewery! Like the community the brewery serves, we sincerely hope for the best possible outcome for all parties involved. We’ll share updates as we learn them, but in the meantime, keep an eye on Bent Bine’s Facebook page.
