Few cities of Bellingham’s size, approximately 97,000, enjoy such a robust beer and brewing culture. The city and surrounding area are home to over a dozen breweries, and there’s no shortage of pubs, taprooms, and other places to enjoy the local bounty. Bellingham Beer Week is an 11-day celebration of the breweries and taphouses in The City of Subdued Excitement. It kicks off on April 17th and crescendos at April Brews Day, the big, annual beer festival at Bellingham’s Downtown Waterfront. Events at breweries and taphouses across the city highlight the creativity and comraderies of the local beer scene.
Bellingham Beer Week starts on April 17th with an official kickoff party at Boundary Bay Brewery. The party will feature the release of two collaboration beers brewed with local brewery friends: Stones Throw Brewery and Beach Cat Brewing. It’s a backyard barbecue party, so come hungry.
Over the ensuing days, enjoy tap takeovers, beer + food pairing events, an Easter Keg Hunt at Kulshan Brewing, a drag brunch at El Sueñito Brewing, a block party at Good’s Local Brews, a special Kolsch Night event at Otherlands Beer, and much more. Check out the entire events lineup on the official Bellingham Beer Week website. Learn more about April Brews Day here.
