This Friday, December 7th at The Hop and Hound in Bothell, Watts Brewing releases two new beers (4:00 – 11:00). Here is the info straight from the brewery:
Come join us Dec 7th at The Hop and Hound as we celebrate the release of two new beers! Xylocopa is an intense, pitch-black stout with bold coffee and dark cocoa-like malt flavors, and we’re also unveiling the latest beer from the elusive Solitary Series. This year’s release is a deliciously rich, 8.5% ABV imperial brown ale. Beers go on tap at 4 pm, and the Low on the Hog food truck will be on site from 5-8 pm.

Xylocopa
American Stout

An intense, pitch-black stout with bold coffee- and dark cocoa-like flavors from the dark roasted malts. This beer takes it’s name from the jet-black carpenter bees, genus Xylocopa.
Solitary Series: Winter 2018
Imperial Brown Ale
8.5% ABV
The Solitary Series is our line of special release strong ales. This winter’s masterpiece is an imperial brown ale, an 8.5% ABV beer that shares the rich, brown sugar and caramel sweetness of a traditional English barleywine and the toasted malt notes of a brown ale.
