Beer releases found on Instagram this week (6/10/22)

Here are some of the newly released Washington-brewed beers that I heard about on Instagram this week (the week ending 6/10/22). It includes some releases from the past couple of weeks as well. Likely, there were others that I missed. Feel free to leave any info in the comments below. (BTW, follow me on IG @beerblog.)

I also did a separate post about beers released for Pride. That list continues to grow.

Fair Isle Brewing – “Today we are sharing two unique beers that we’re particularly proud of: Presenting Hanami, a farmhouse ale with Sakura Sencha tea conditioned on Meadowfoam honey… Next up, Pjotr batch 3, our saison aged in Westland Peated Whiskey Casks.”

Postdoc Brewing – Fractal Pattern Lager

Postdoc Brewing – “Introducing Fractal Pattern. We made this light, crisp, easy-drinking lager with pilsner malt and puffed jasmine rice. The rice lends a very soft floral note while allowing the pilsner malt to take center stage, but not overwhelm the palate. Fermented long, slow, and cold, this Rice Lager suits all occasions, especially if you want to search online for fractal images and just browse. Fractal Pattern is on tap, pouring at 5.3% ABV, and available in 16oz cans today!”

Ladd and Lass Brewing – Seismic Sunset IPA

Ladd and Lass Brewing – “It’s a SEISMIC special! ? Our newest West Coast IPA is joining the family soon and we need to make room in the fridge. Come and get your 4-pack…we’re here all week!”

Cloudburst Brewing – Do Over IPA

Cloudburst Brewing – “Why? Well, here at Cloudburst, we believe every hop deserves a second chance brew. Most, maybe even a third. And that’s where Ekuanot comes in. Wait WAIT. DON’T YOU DARE STOP READING. We first had taste of Ekuanot as Hop #366 in 2013, before it was released to the public with the name ‘Equinox’….which then had to be changed for trademark reasons…so ok, yeah, it wasn’t the smoothest roll out for a new hop variety. ANYWAYS, the hop previously known as Equinox was promising! At times, at least! But then people started to make single hop IPAs with it and it would go all green bell pepper, all while the farmers were still tweaking picking windows, and inevitably quite a few brewer’s wrote this hop off. Acreage went from 890 planted acres in 2017 all the way down to 381 acres in 2021. But guess what? THIS SHIT IS FIRE NOW. STOP LAUGHING. Seriously, try this beer and tell us this hop doesn’t deserve a seat at the IPA table. And yes, the recipe is cut with Citra – but the overall math is 30% Ekuanot T-90s, 30% Ekuanot Cryo, & 40% Citra T-90s, resulting in flavors of white pineapple, tangerine, dark cherry and a hint of red peppercorn spice. EkuaNOT? Pshhhh! More Like EkuaYEAH!”

Cloudburst Brewing – It’s a Porter

Cloudburst Brewing – “We have a new Porter out today. That’s it. That is the name of the beer. It is also the style of this beer. In almost 7 years of creating beer, we’ve never named a beer by its style. That trend stops today. Wow. What a monumental accomplishment. Thanks, Porter. Is it boring? Kinda. Uninspiring? Depends. Old school? Definitely. Simple? Sure. Will it live up to the standard set by @stoupbrewing, the greatest Porter brewer in the NW? We can only hope so.”

Trap Door Brewing – Upside Down IPA

Trap Door Brewing – “It’s dangerous to go into The Upside Down Under alone, take this! Our new West Coast IPA was made hops straight from New Zealand!”

Mount Olympus Brewing, Wildman Brewing – Myths and Legends Cold IPA

Mount Olympus Brewing – “Party time! Come help us celebrate the release of Myth’s & Legends! A collaboration with our friends at Wildman Brewing Co. This special collab is a Cold IPA, brewed with Columbus, Chinook, Citra & Strata. A cold fermented and dry hopped IPA. Cold side hop additions consist of Strata, Sabro, & Cashmere. Loads of citrus, subtle pine, and dank cannibus. A light refreshing IPA with a decent amount bitterness to keep it balanced. 6.5% Abv and 50 IBU.”
