Beer Release – Three new beers from Hellbent Brewing

New today of three beer releases from Hellbent Brewing in Seattle. These three beers represent a broad range of styles: a Grisette, a Kolsch, and a West Coast IPA.

Here is the info from the brewery:

Sour Plum Grisette
Available now!

A first-of-its-style at Hellbent, Grisette is not the maid in a Victor Hugo novel (yeah that’s right, we read books).  It’s a close cousin to the Saison, originally consumed by miners in Belgium, close to the French border.  The Grisette’s light, tart, and mildly  fruity body lends itself perfectly to our sour version with plums.  A little bit sour, just fruity enough, and an almost Gose-like finish, keeps this hybrid true to style, but still delivers something new.

So treat yourself like Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford.  If you don’t know who those two people are, then spend some of this latest lockdown period watching Parks and Rec, and drinking a sour plum grisette out of a fancy glass, or a Mason jar.

Available on-draft or in 12oz 6-packs.

Hellbent Kolsch
December 9, 2020

What can we say about this classic German style, straight outta Cologne, that hasn’t already been said?  We don’t have any hot takes on the Franco-Prussian war either!  Sometimes we’ve gotta keep it classic and traditional, and that’s what Brian did here. Light, mildly hoppy, clean, and golden, like it should be.  Just like your favorite black concert tee, Kolsch goes with everything!  Whether you’re just hanging out, having tacos, pizza, or Dim Sum, Hellbent Kölsch is here for you.

Hop Therapist IPA
December 9, 2020

What can you tell me about your Mother? Is being cooped up in the house causing a transference of aggression that stems from the womb? WHAT!?  Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and an IPA is just an IPA.  Well…this is isn’t any old IPA.  This west coast IPA is loaded with Simcoe, Ekuanot, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops to give you some much-needed therapy to close out 2020. Freud once said, “the madman is a dreamer awake”.  Who knows what that means, but a nice bitter IPA loaded with tropical fruit will make you forget about your unconscious desires and crave this IPA.

Available on-draft or in 16oz 4-packs.
