Georgetown Brewing just released a 15-barrel batch of a Belgian-Style Strong Golden Ale. As is the case with most of the special stuff they do at Georgetown, it is available in tasters and growlers at the brewery only. There’s always a small chance that a keg or two gets out to a bar somewhere, but there’s now way of telling where or when.

This brings up a good point about Georgetown Brewing. It’s easy to only associate the brewery with Manny’s and Lucille, but they do a lot more than that. Most often, the coolest stuff is only available at the brewery. And once something cool shows up, it usually doesn’t last long. In other words, it’s always worth stopping by the brewery to see what’s pouring.

About the Belgian-Style Strong Golden – “This effervescent beer was fermented cold to suppress a heavy Belgian character, resulting in a light bodied, dry ale. Citrus aromas come from the addition of orange peel and coriander, and the spicy, bitter bite from Equinox and Sterling hops. A higher ABV brew that is deceptively refreshing…”

ABV 8.6% growler fill $10
