It’s prom season. For Kulshan Brewing and a handful of other breweries that means it’s time to collaborate and put together a special event: Beer Prom. It’s a tradition dating back to 2018. And speaking of dates, grab yours and make a plan to attend the 2024 event in Bellingham on Saturday, June 1st. Get tickets and learn more here.

Kulshan Brewing Company and Lydia Place are rolling out the red carpet at the Trackside Beer Garden and invite you to join them for a star-studded Hollywood Beer Prom. Enjoy a night of beer, glitz, glamor, and charitable giving. All proceeds from Beer Prom benefit Lydia Place, a Bellingham non‐profit agency dedicated to disrupting the cycle of homelessness and promoting sustained independence for current and future generations.

What is a Beer Prom?

Basically, it’s a prom-themed beer festival for a great cause. At the event, you will enjoy one-of-a-kind collaboration beers from seventeen breweries (listed below). Each of the eight beers was specially crafted for this occasion. These collaborative beers will debut at the event. The crowd will vote to determine a Best in Show winner. Think of it as the Beer Prom King and Queen.

This is the first 21+ event at the Trackside Beer Garden, which is usually an all-ages venue. Beer Prom attendees will enjoy live music from Triple B Big Band and DJ Jody Keagle. On top of that, fun games, a raffle supporting Lydia Place, and a costume contest. Get yourself all glitzed up for the red carpet, or otherwise embrace the Hollywood theme. Be creative.

What is Lydia Place?

For Lydia Place, this event demonstrates how collaborative partnerships can create opportunities to work together to find solutions to challenging community issues like ending homelessness. Lydia Place Community Engagement Director, Tally Rabatin, shared, “Lydia Place relies on the power of partnerships and collaborative engagement to help bring awareness and funding to support our critical housing programs and services. Beer Prom, and our partnership with Kulshan Brewing, checks both of these boxes, and demonstrates what’s possible when we collaborate. ”
