Last week I was fortunate to enjoy a preview of He Said and He Said, the collaborative pumpkin beers that Elysian Brewing created with 21st Amendment Brewing. One is a Baltic Porter and the other a Belgian-Style Tripel. Both are outstanding. Tonight from 5:00 til 8:00, The Beer Junction (blog sponsor) welcomes the two breweries for a tasting event. Both versions of the He Said will be on tap. Both are also available in 12-ounce cans. Tonight’s tasting event will also feature some other treats from 21st Amendment and Elysian.
The Beer Junction is pulling something special out of the cellar: a keg of Monk’s Blood that they’ve been sitting on since early last year. Also on tap from 21st Amendment, this year’s version of Fireside Chat, the brewery’s early winter seasonal (available October thru December only). They’ll also be sampling (from bottles) the latest beer from Elysian’s Manic Series of IPAs: Valhalla Red IPA.
The kegs go on tap at 4:00. The tasting event starts at 5:00.
