Beveridge Place Pub Cask-o-Rama. Friday, December 6th (until the casks are empty)
Hopvember sees the Beveridge Place Pub run a tournament-style competition involving some of the best locally brewed IPAs. Pub patrons vote for their favorites, widdling down the field until a champion is crowned at this weekend’s IPA Cask-o-Rama. Enjoy cask IPA from several local breweries. Casks lined up on the bar. Taster trays are available. “The Elite Eight votes have been counted and certified by the powers that be! You have narrowed it down to your Top Three favorite Washington IPAs!
The winning beer becomes the Beveridge Place house IPA for the next year, providing the always-on-tap IPA to the pub (multiple kegs per month). Second place is guaranteed two kegs per month, and third place is guaranteed six kegs per year. The pub will announce the winner on Friday, December 6th, at around 7:30 p.m. (casks will be tapped at 5 p.m.).
Ballard Brewery District Makers Market. Saturday, December 7th from 1:00 until 6:00
Four of the breweries in Ballard are hosting a pop-up holiday makers market this Saturday. Stop by any or all of the participating breweries and take care of some holiday shopping. Drink artisan beers from local producers as you shop for artisan gifts from local producers. “I Heart Indie Markets is back in the Ballard Brewing District on Saturday, Dec. 7th from 1-6 pm. Come support amazing local makers and artisans while knocking out some holiday shopping.” Participating breweries: Wheelie Pop Brewing, Reuben’s Brews. Obec Brewing, and Stoup Brewing.
Human People Brewing Beer Release. Saturday, December 7th
And while you are in the neighborhood, pick up some beer from Seattle’s nomad brewery, Human People Beer. While they’re still searching for a permanent home, Human People is brewing at other breweries and releasing its beer as it becomes available. The pop-up at Stoup Brewing goes from 1:00 until 6:00. They’re releasing a new IPA and also will offer their Helles: “It’s an IPA called ALIEN JAMS. Developed using hops solely from Freestyle Hops in New Zealand. It is an experimental IPA (6.5%) that explores the interdimensional flavor, depth, and cosmic aroma of New Zealand-grown hops.” The presale is open here.
Big Time, Big Anniversary. Saturday, December 7th
Seattle’s beloved Big Time Brewery and Alehouse celebrates another milestone, as we reported earlier. There’s a comedy show at 8:00. Beyond that, keep an eye on social media to see if anything else shows up on the agenda.
Future Primitive Holiday Market and Anniversary Soiree. Saturday, December 7th
This Saturday in White Center, Future Primitive Brewing celebrates its 6th anniversary. The fun will include a Holiday Market. “We’ll be releasing our Barrel-aged Anniversary Barleywine alongside a local makers market. Get some unique Christmas Gifts and help us celebrate!” The market and party start at 1:00. Expect a special visit from Santa from 3:00 – 5:30.
