The Bale Breaker Brewing Frenz series of collaboration beers sees the Yakima-based brewery partner with some of the best breweries from near and far. Since its founding in 2016, the Frenz series has included superstars like Sierra Nevada Brewing and Russian River Brewing, as well as some of the Northwest’s best-loved breweries, like Barley Brown’s Brewery and Breakside Brewing.

The list of partners for the 2025 Frenz series is here

As we explained, Bale Breaker took the Frenz series to new dimensions last year. This year, they’re keeping it regional, with a list of partners that includes beloved Northwest breweries like Icicle Brewing, Holy Mountain Brewing, and Reuben’s Brews. The brewery will release the beers throughout the year. First up, a West Coast IPA brewed with Icicle Brewing will be released this Friday, March 7th, at both Bale Breaker taprooms: Yakima and Ballard.

Following the release parties on March 7th, the beer will receive full distribution throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Beer lovers can locate it using the Bale Breaker online beer finder. After launch, Washington customers can order the beer via the Bale Breaker online store.

“What goes together better than a T-Rex and Bigfoot?” said an announcement from Bale Breaker Brewing. “Well, probably a lot of things including Bale Breaker and Icicle Brewing Company! Celebrate unexpected friendships this year with our first Frenz 2025 release, a West Coast IPA from two central WA breweries focused on unexpectedly great flavors. Featuring Mosaic® Cryo and Dynaboost™, Simcoe®, Krush™, and Columbus hops, this fun collab brew isn’t one to miss.”

Having fun with frenz

“We felt like just having fun with our Frenz series this year by choosing only one brewery for each release to really emphasize that friendship and camaraderie,” says Bale Breaker Brewing co-owner Kevin Quinn. “Washington is home to so many great breweries that we want to make beer with, so we decided to go all in on home state breweries this year.”

“Outside of brewing with our friends, one of the best parts of this series is having fun with the can artwork each year,” says Quinn. “The T-Rex and Bigfoot design for March’s Icicle release was inspired by a ridiculous tracksuit the guys from Icicle found for us to wear on brew day.”
